MDressCulture was established in 2010 by Milena Benker. The Brand has manufacture charakter and focuses on small collections with limited garments produced individually, made of fine and natural materials.
The designer with Bulgarian roots started creating clothes already in her childhood. Milena can trace back her sense for fabrics and talent for tailoring when she watchted her grandparents who are tailors at work. As a teenager in her aspiration of being different during communism, she created her own clothes together with her mother who is also a tailor.
In 2010 Milena quit her fulltime job as a project manager to pursue her passion. She developed her first collection and opened her own showroom in Stuttgart.
There she sensed out the desires of her customers and implemented them in high-end collections full of indipendence, individuality and timeless luxury. Every single piece is heavily inspired by the east- and westeuropean spirits and handmade in her atelier in Plovdiv.
Today Milena, mother of two children, lives with her family between Germany and Bulgaria.
From 2018 MDressCulture expands its vision internationally.
MDressCulture support the Childen of Orphanage ‚Olga Skobeleva’ in Plovdiv. Once a week, they are introduced to the creative world of sewing and tailoring and professionally taught. With our waste fabrics and old sewing machines we provide them with basic equipment to learn and practice.
Maybe everyone of us will find a way to help and support the weaker ones without such great effort.
